At Fen Homecare Limited we pride ourselves on offering a highly professional domiciliary home care service, with a personal touch, operating from up to one hour to 24-hours per day. We provide domiciliary care throughout the Cambridgeshire area to a wide variety of people with learning, physical or sensory disabilities and problems associated with ageing. We aim to maintain independence, allowing choice and control for our service users, responding to their every need.

What does the role of a Care Worker involve?

Due to our continuing growth we are looking for caring, flexible and committed staff to join our team [immediate starts available]. As a care worker the day to day tasks conducted may include: -

Assisting service users with personal care tasks, promoting dignity at all time.
Supporting with the administration of medication.
Supporting to meet nutritional needs through meal preparation and fluid intake prompts.
Light house keeping duties.
Interacting with service users, promoting independence & freedom of choice.
Ensuring safety throughout the day, escorting to social or other appointments when needed e.g. GP appointments.
Dementia care.
Sitting services.
Catheter and stoma care.
We offer the following: -

Full paid induction training in house conducted by our dedicated team of managers - Attendance at a full 5 day induction will be required on successful appointment with payment for training being provided in first wage.
30 pence per mile travelling as part of your duties, paid into your wages automatically.
Free uniform and protective equipment.
Flexible working hours with full time and part time vacancies available. Bank workers will also be considered.
Up to 28 days paid holidays.
Regular service users, consistent hours, runs and limited gaps in between appointments.

Full time and part time positions available. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Please note car drivers are preferred due to the requirement to travel as part of the role.

Experience:

Care Assistant [min 6+ months]: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:

GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)
Licence:

Driving licence (Preferred)
